Hi there. My name is Melissa, and I'm a Brooklyn-based experience designer.
I am primarily interested in designing end-to-end services and rich web applications, but I also possess experience in creating large-scale websites and cross-platform marketing campaigns across a variety of verticals including media/publishing, financial services, technology, and education/kid-centric design.
A consummate nerd, I love conducting research and using my findings to drive design decisions. I believe that great user experiences are elegant, functional, and usable--these three attributes drive my design work on a daily basis.
Outside of work I am an avid yoga practitioner and brunch-goer. I love books, 30 Rock, and green tea.
Please email me for a PDF version of my portfolio.
I am currently working full-time at an educational software company in Brooklyn and am available for freelance project work on a limited basis. A copy of my resume is available in PDF form.
I entered the world of user experience in September 2009 at Razorfish in New York City. Prior to that, I earned my master's degree in the Technology, Innovation, and Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
I have also spent time as a kindergarten teacher, an undergraduate art history major, and a competitive fencer.
I'm always online. You can contact me using any of the following methods:
